3 year birthday sale
Plus a Writing Group Essay Swap today and get your FREE subscription to Reading the Comments pod
Mad Woman just celebrated her third birthday! According to ye olde BabyCenter dot com, when babies hit 3 years, it’s a great time to start reading nonfiction “to combat fears” and learn about “everyday life.” It’s also prime time for separation anxiety, night terrors, imaginary friends, and disrupted sleep. Sounds about right.
In honor of these and other milestones, this week regular annual subscriptions to Mad Woman are on sale. Use this button to upgrade your subscription by next Monday, Oct 28th:
Paid subscribers get weekend roundups, writing prompts, craft and personal essays, commenting and community privileges, full access to the archive, a discount on the Reading the Comments 👀pod, author salons, and other occasional events and treats, like AMAs.
Writing Group subscriptions (founding member plans) are also 20% off this week only. Read all about the Writing Group here. If you join now, you’ll get access to everything below and you can attend our fall virtual retreat the week of Nov. 18.
Writing Group news this week
I’ve organized an optional essay swap for members of our Writing Group. We meet today (Monday Oct 21) at 1pm PT. Details and Zoom information below. All you have to do is show up with an essay under 2k words and be prepared to exchange feedback with at least one other writer in the group over the next few weeks. Next month, we’ll meet to debrief and have an office hour devoted to essay revision and submission.
I’m also giving Writing Group members a completely free subscription to my new podcast
