Writing & imagining
5 things, including why we write, what kind of hope is this, and a video that made me cry
Happy Sunday, friends. Before I get to some things I found for you this week, in celebration of the paperback release of Touched Out, my publisher is doing a giveaway!
Enter here by October 15th and if you win, you’ll get this grab bag of feminist reads and merch, including two copies of my book that you can give away this holiday season.
I taught a lot this week, and had a wonderful event for my paperback on Thursday night with the luminescent
at Womb House Books (you can follow them !). The event evolved into an intimate conversation on sexuality, motherhood, change, feminism, gender, and so much more. It was juicy and rich and generous and warm. I feel so lucky to get to have conversations like these. Most of what I have for you this week is sort of writing inspo. Because I’m teaching so much, that’s where my head has been (and I’m trying to send you all more prompts like these, in case they are helpful). But a lot of these links and ideas are also related to the magical energy I felt at the event— the kind that comes from exploring the deepest questions of our lives in and among community, and from acknowledging writing as a conduit for change.
