It's time for a new story
When the Dobbs ruling was issued, I was fighting a sore throat and cold symptoms. I took Covid tests, they came up negative, the pain when I swallowed returned each morning for several days. Everyone around me said, “Well, it’s hard to tell what’s going on with so much happening.” But I wanted confirmation. I wanted proof my body was sick. As if the codified loss of my autonomy was not enough.
