Friends, I am catching UP. This week I had a sick kid home, we had to miss the very first day of school. My resurfacing from summer feels like it’s lacking some grace. I have been following the mess, and sudden unexpected optimism, of American politics while I’ve been away. But I have to admit, I really don’t want to have my chain yanked by the incomprehensibly fast election news cycle all fall, and I’m working through that.
But this week obviously belonged to the dads, one can’t deny it, and while my initial reaction to that is a big hmmmm, there’s been a lot of interesting discussion about masculinity and fatherhood this week.
